Andy, I emailed you the actual powerpoint. If anyone wants the actual powerpoint (not the slightly-messed up google docs version), let me know.

See you there Keith – bring your friends!

for god’s sake I hope no berkeley students watch this and take it seriously. Utter nonsense…

If you have to interview… you are not a founder.
if you join a company that already has angel funding… you are not a founder.
if you join a company and you are given an “offer” and salary, you are not a founder and that’s not much of a “risk.”

This is a nice presentation about how to get a job at an early stage company… this is not a presentation about being an entrepreneur and starting your own company. This guy is an embarrassment to real founders. Real founders put the team together, real founders raise money themselves, real founders build the first product and sell to the first customers.

If he was a real founder he wouldn’t be so arrogant and would actually talk about some of the struggles. it would have been nice to hear about how rapleaf had to change what they were doing multiple times because their original ideas failed.

Hate to be an asshole, but this guy is just arrogant, condescending and not very insightful for a “co-founder” of a “successful” company. “From Cal to Co-Founder”….. a better title would have been from “Cal to Employee.”
